You cannot have what you want when you put energy into the things you don't want

Painting is a messy business.

Unknown artists, creating what they are told, give their copyrights to the corporations that they work for. The artists that are making a difference, under their own name, in their own style, on their own terms, must forever own their own work, spiritually and legally

If a client doesn’t value your work, then you shouldn’t sell it to them cheap, or trade it, & definitely never give it away.

You can train people to see you in a certain way and you can train them how to treat you.

Sometimes you get tired of all the pats on the back and you just want to say "where's the money".
