You just have to know that the more successful you get as an artist, the less of a normal life you have. It's a trade-off.

I don't want to be put on a pedestal. I just want to be reasonably successful and live a normal life with all the conveniences to make it so.

I live a normal life.

In my experience, as a young black artist, you have to fulfill an archetype, or be a token - and I was unwilling to do that.

I'd like to be settled into somewhat of a normal life. Somewhat. I know it's never going to be completely normal.

You get educated by traveling.
