You'd think that Ranger was the candidate. People make a big fuss over him, generally speaking.

We keep a schedule of people who volunteer to walk with me. I'm going to do that every day until Election Day to remind people when, and the different ways, to vote.

I think I care more about the quality of life issues, and that appeals to people that moved here to enjoy the beauty and the animals and all of that. I feel there are some people who are intent on pushing business, and I heard very little else from them.

I was surprised that I did as well as I did, but I'm hoping to do better in the next election. I did so much better in the south than in the north (part of town). There are still a lot of people I haven't met yet.

You are going to be scrutinized very closely on that score and you need people who aren't going to stumble, especially in the current climate we've got where there's cynicism. People are watching, people are much more attentive to government and cabinet ministers.
