You're not going to have a discipline problem. These kids want to be here.

We're taking 100 kids, ages 17 to 22, off the street. That's a lot of kids.

We want these kids to succeed. We want to give them every opportunity, both academically and socially.

They're a totally different team than what we saw last year. Two kids (Novak and Fiske) have really made a great impact on that program. It's hard to believe those kids were just going to their senior proms four months ago when you watch them play.

It's a tough thing. But I think the Rowland Hall kids really have a lot of discipline. These kids, because their school work is so hard, they carry that discipline over to swimming.

The discipline that these kids have to show and the workout and the regimen is grueling, but on the same hand it is fun and they enjoy it. For these kids to come up here three and four nights a week really shows something to me. I have three boys and I have no discipline problems ever, because this works it out of them. They also know that if they don't behave at home or do their schoolwork, well, then there's no boxing.
