A lot of kids go to schools bigger than where they can play at and sit on the bench. They want him to start right away and take the spot of Jason Harris (a senior swingman). It's a good style of play for him.

We are one of the smaller schools so it is tough enough to find kids to play. The larger schools have a bigger pool to pick from.

There's a cost to attending these tournaments. If I'm not going to get a chance to play top schools, my athletic director would not let me go,

Division II schools will give four kids who play the same position $1,500. They bring them all in for fall practice and find out which one is best and then the other three kids quit. Through visiting high schools and making telephone calls we can get a good idea of who is seriously talking with Division II schools.

It was a good win and a lot of kids got to play.

I get to play in front of the most enthusiastic audience of all. There's nothing like playing for kids.
