We are one of the smaller schools so it is tough enough to find kids to play. The larger schools have a bigger pool to pick from.

We added two or three kids who played ice hockey before. And the core group has come back from last year when they had no ice hockey experience. It is kind of a combination.

I play everybody the same amount of ice time. We work as a team and play as a team.

A lot of kids go to schools bigger than where they can play at and sit on the bench. They want him to start right away and take the spot of Jason Harris (a senior swingman). It's a good style of play for him.

That's the gauntlet right there. The schedule isn't easy for us either. We have to play both Turlock schools in Turlock this year.

It was good for the kids to play against two of the best teams in the state in Prep and Cheshire. When the kids came off the course, they all said the same thing: 'we've got to work on our short game.' Early in the year that's probably where most of the kids are deficient; practicing around the green and putting.
