Above that particular altitude on the mountain, there was a massive fall of rocks that went straight into the people who were climbing.

A rapid change of weather forced several rocks to tumble and slide down the gradient. The rocks hit a group of tourists who were en route to the peak and three were killed.

The possible explanation I hear on this could be earth movement or vibration. It has never happened like this in the past.
