And already We overtook them with chastisement, but they were not submissive to their Lord, nor do they humble themselves.

And certainly a lasting chastisement overtook them in the morning.

But they revolted against the commandment of their Lord, so the rumbling overtook them while they saw.

Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, / And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before.

And We did not show them a sign but it was greater than its like, and We overtook them with chastisement that they may turn.

So the rumbling overtook them in the morning; / And what they earned did not avail them.
