As a kid growing up in the little city of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, I dreamed of one day playing in the NHL, but never did I expect it to be as much fun as it turned out to be.

Growing up on a ranch, we worked hard every day.

Growing up, my dream was to play Division I basketball. I also knew that one day I would like to be a Division I head coach. The Citadel was the school that allowed me to do that. To be able to play basketball and be a head coach at the same school is a dream come true.

We're growing up, and we've got growing pains,

I think it's from moving around so much when I was growing up.

It reminds me of Miami when I was growing up in the 1950s. They've got grocery stores that make a 7-Eleven look like a Wal-Mart.
