Banning public smoking to reduce the number of people who smoke is low on people's list of priorities. Government should not use legislation to force people to give up smoking.

What Canada has to do is to have a government connected to the priorities of the people of which it is elected to serve. Those priorities include ensuring medicare is sustainable, support for the military, and tax and justice systems that work.

Clearly our priorities are perverse. Our government punishes the good guys and lets, in some cases, the really bad guys help run the show and set the agendas.

What was the government doing? ... (FBI agents) had absolutely no regard of the lives of any of the people in there. All they had to do was wait them out.

My daughter told me she wasn't afraid of spider but that she was afraid of my smoking. She said that she was afraid of my dying. So i went downstairs, picked up a pair of pliers and a blowtorch and showed her what real fear was.

People tell me I shouldn't smoke because it is makes you look like a tit. I use exactly the same argument when people tell me they go to the gym.
