Be suspicious of anything that works perfectly - it's probably because two errors are canceling each other out

Our crisis of today is Katrina, probably a couple of hundred billion, and I think you start by canceling every earmark, all 6,371 earmarks, special pork spending, in the newly-passed transportation bill. It's only $24 billion, lunch money, but it's a rather ample lunch.

We're competing the whole game. We're not having multiple errors in a row. We're spreading them out. We're not having that one horrible inning like we had a lot last year. We're still making some silly errors that we don't need to make. But we're getting better, no doubt about that.

We could very well be 3-1. With a couple of breaks or avoiding some costly errors, we could be off to a strong start.

We're right there. I don't think we played a very good game. Errors. We were a little young (with three freshman starters) early. But we came back, we fought back. I was proud of the way we fought back.

I'm not afraid to tell anyone I'm very demanding. I'll accept physical errors, but mental errors are what I'm trying to eliminate. When you're dealing with freshmen and sophomores, there's a big step.
