Besides the second game yesterday, this about matched Georgia last weekend as far as how effective we were swinging the bats and getting runs in. Hopefully we're hitting on all cylinders here.

It just gives me more incentive to win even more next weekend and the week after.

[The race of the weekend is Saturday's professional 4X100-meter relay, which an American team has won for the last five years.] It was really exciting as a college athlete watching the red, white and blue run the last day, ... Everybody comes on the last day to watch the professionals, whether it's raining or not.

If we break the motor in St. Louis this weekend, we're in trouble. We've been talking a lot about this, because the following weekend we're in Indianapolis, and that's probably the biggest race of our lives.

The more important development more recently was the tax cut that was enacted over the weekend, which will provide some pretty good support for consumer spending over the next few quarters.

We're feeling good at the plate right now. A lot of guys are swinging it well and we've got a lot of guys that have a lot of confidence. We just started putting up a lot of runs. It's a lot of fun when you do that.
