Both the residents of Shady Lane and the city had felt for years that it was an unsafe property. Really, the bottom line was providing affordable housing that is not safe isn't an option for the city.

A lot of the residents in Lemay put out stuff they want to get rid of.

They'd [Silver Lake residents] rather have the plague come over them than be in the city of Leesburg,

People have to respect intellectual property.

I guess I didn't even realize this, but there are so many people who are city residents who actually have to put their bike in the car and drive to the ride [at other locations]. This is a great opportunity for them to just ride to Toscana, and we take off from there. I didn't realize there were so many people in the area that would do that. I really expected that we would get a lot more people driving in, parking and taking off.

I visited with every student here at one point or another and none of them have said they feel unsafe here.
