Business leaders cannot be bystanders.

We can't wait for Washington. Business leaders are going to have to galvanize their own constituencies and do everything they can to demonstrate confidence in the economy, and I think that can be contagious.

I would hope congressional leaders put this at the front of their agenda,

German political leaders and business leaders should encourage more German private equity firms to get started -- don't wait for the Americans to show up but support and encourage Germans to start their own funds and to do the same kind of things that the Americans are doing.

What I want to do is, I want business leaders, small business, employers, to come together, ... A moderate (increase). A reasonable one that everybody can handle.

I think it's terribly important that a moderate group of business leaders has come out in favor of fixing what clearly is broken, namely our system of financing congressional campaigns.
