To be able to forget means sanity.

Forget the past- the future will give you plenty to worry about

I think people write to remember:
(Whether) to bring back a mem'ry to life,
(Or for their future selves a reminder,
Once God begins to dim their lights).

But I learnt that I write not just to recall,
Because, damn, I cite well if I let,
Profusely[-]vividly remembering all –
I think I write in hopes to forget.

The more she tried to forget, the more she remembered.
