Coach Cole first saw me play in the Carpenter Cup and after that he stayed in touch. I really like the school and Coach Cole. I looked at a couple of other schools, but a Penn education is hard to pass up. I went to camps there in October and January. I'm grateful for the opportunity.

This is fantastic to have this happen his senior year. He had a different attitude.

That was what we looked at from the very beginning, what was going to happen at 60, 71, 89 and 215. We got the pins because our guys went out there and wrestled with a lot of heart, came from behind and showed a lot of character.

He was always hanging around for moral support and he was still savvy on the sport. But he really didn't get back on the mat until his junior year. To miss an entire season and come back strong like that tells you a lot about him.

It was a great two-man play by both of them.

I like watching him play. He's a little bummed out because he wanted to complete more balls, but he made some huge runs, some plays I couldn't make running the ball around. I told him if it's not there, use your legs, you've got a gift there, you've got an ability to do some special things with your legs.
