Conversation enriches the understanding, but solitude is the school of genius.

Every man who rises above the common level has received two educations: the first from his teachers; the second, more personal and important, from himself

That conversation was to promote an understanding between the two groups that were at odds with one another. At no time did anyone at the school make a blanket statement about not speaking Spanish. This is not something we take lightly.

I never found a companion that was so companionable as solitude.
