Designing is a lot like a high-wire act - if the tightrope walker is only six inches off the ground, where's the excitement?

If you had a friend who was a tightrope walker, and you were walking down a sidewalk, and he fell, that would be completely unacceptable...

I've got probably 20 to 30 pounds and six inches on him. I just tried to make him do what he didn't want to do. I bumped him a couple of times, got him out of his rhythm.

If you can tailor your products to the customers, if you are designing products that customers want and you are providing customer value to them, they are going to remain customers ? even if you have to bargain with them a little bit.

It's a character I've created. Actually, that's pretty much the opposite of me, off a farm in the Midwest.

Some excitement is warranted, but the question is, how much? Either the stock is correct in that the recovery and earnings are going to be faster than analysts like me have predicted, or we're going to see the stock grind lower to a more sensible level in the next few months.
