Due to the damage on the vehicle, off the bat, we can tell excessive speed was a factor.

We can tell definitely that speed was a factor here, another factor obviously we don't think anyone was wearing there seatbelts, that was a factor, and more importantly, we believe alcohol was involved in this collision.

The tractor trailer struck the van in the drivers side. Unfortunately the driver was killed on the scene from the impact.
