Every other community that we brought this program to, we found an organized effort. There is more than just a one-time hit.

I knew that we could get something organized. It brought them together . . . and they were great.

Every community has had to identify emergency dispensing sites in the event of a mass vaccination effort.

We would like to engage the community in this effort. We want to make this a community project, not just a historical project.

With all them being involved, it makes more of a community effort out of the whole event, which is what keeps the whole homecoming idea alive. And the result of that is something that's lasted longer than any of us, and hopefully it'll continue doing that.

It's not just a city thing, it's a whole community effort.
