Fear is a problem with film music and films; people want to be conventional, and there's more commercialism today. If you are not daring in your art, you're bankrupt.

I'd like this to become a full arts festival, with film, music and visual art.

I think that the way music is used in the film is the way people associate music in their own lives. People use it as a means to contemplation.

The first step - especially for young people with energy and drive and talent, but not money - the first step to controlling your world is to control your culture. To model and demonstrate the kind of world you demand to live in. To write the books. Make the music. Shoot the films. Paint the art.

The original film is close to three hours long, and it struck me that it hardly had any music in it.
