Golden West has a good program and when you are playing good teams you have to play good defense and you need timely hitting. This was a good game for us to play, we'll learn from it.

We knew their defense was going to cause us to play faster than we're used to. A lot of times that leads to poor execution and turnovers. We had a good week of practice preparing for this weekend and one of the things this weekend was being able to execute offensively at a higher pace, and we were able to do that.

We didn't do a good job of playing our assignments. We didn't play our assignments on offense, defense or on special teams. When you don't play your assignments things like blocked punts happen.

They just owned us with their defense. They smothered us with their defensive pressure.

That's the one thing we always go to. I probably, to a fault, work too much on our defense in practice. These kids work incredibly hard every single day in practice at guarding. Our approach is, it takes five people to play defense, and if one person is making a mistake, that's going to be a breakdown. Tonight, people really saw how well we can defend people.

We get paid well enough that it wouldn't be morally correct to be able to play and then not play just because there's a week left, ... If I'm able to play, I should be out there.
