Governments at all levels must safeguard the migrant workers' legitimate rights, including getting payments in time, work safety and the schooling of their children.

The rights of the returned Chinese should be well protected, as they make a vital contribution to China's modernization.

Using non-peaceful means to stop secession in defense of our sovereignty and territorial integrity would be our last resort when all our efforts for a peaceful reunification should prove futile.

They should actively participate in the affairs of the international trade union movement and in the formulation of international rules based on independence, equality, mutual respect and non-interference in each other's affairs.

We hope to provide an open platform so that trade union organizations from different social backgrounds and ideologies can freely exchange views and seek more opportunities for co-operation.
