He slowly became a regular presence in our home.

It's been an easy transition. He fits in real well here. He has the same standards we have for our kids. He's had a really great year. He's pulling his grades up and he's working really hard. We're really proud of him.

My brother, Bob Boots, is a construction battalion and has been for more than 20 years and his home base was Gulfport, Miss.. He had a house that was only 1,000 feet away from the beach. When we were there, we'd walk to the beach from his house.
