Historically, I'm not certain Ball State was ever given the credit it should have been. I think the PR campaign over the past few years has raised its awareness.

The boy did absolutely what you'd want children to do. Quite honestly, he should be commended for the job he did, not criticized for it.

If I had one goal, it would be to help the president and other members of the board get the positives out there and continue to hammer home that it's a great school.

I think the job of any board of trustees is to bring ideas, bring feedback, work with the other board members, and trustees in this case, to make it a better university.

Clare Fischer was a major influence on my harmonic concept. He and Bill Evans, and Ravel and Gil Evans, finally. You know, that's where it really came from. Almost all of the harmony that I play can be traced to one of those four people and whoever their influences were.
