Hurricane Andrew hit and everything changed.

After Hurricane Andrew, Florida laws were changed because it was a new landmark as the most devastating hurricane in the U.S.. In regards to insurance, people in Florida didn't pay their premium risk that they should have. That really changed insurance regulations and building codes.

We've not seen anything like this previously. There have been hurricane disruptions, like Andrew, which was a temporary thing and the market bounced back, followed by a return of a red-hot housing market with housing prices hitting new highs in 2004.

We had the railroad stabilized, we had the velocity we wanted, then we got hit by this hurricane.

We were on the ground Tuesday, the day after the hurricane hit, but we were excluded from going in by state and federal authorities for the first several days. We've received 2,000 e-mails and phone calls from people who evacuated from New Orleans, who left animals in their homes and are pleading with us to rescue them. That's just in New Orleans. It doesn't count surrounding areas.

We had a lot of (good) shots, but we changed our shots and couldn't hit them.
