I anticipate we won't have enough signatures to qualify, but I can't be sure yet.

That would leave 23 signatures for it to qualify. The count of total signatures was off by four from what was turned in. And we want to look at the rest (of the disqualified signatures) to see if something was missed. It's so close we could ask for a recount, too.

ADA issues are ones that a lot of counties don't think about when drafting dog-specific ordinances. With service dogs, especially mobility assistance dogs like the ones that pull wheelchairs, there are physical ramifications to sterilization.

If a dog is less than 20 pounds, it can't pull a wheelchair. It can't guide an adult.

It's sort of a verification process. I check them when they come in, making sure they have two signatures.
