I just love children of this age. There is no edge to them at all, they are delightful.

I think it is really terrifying that we are narrowing down to a mechanistic assessment of children by how many pass exams... if standards meant improving right across the board, character, originality, interests, then I wouldn't mind so much. But it doesn't. It always boils down to the same thing, how will we pass exams.

I think you really need to be communicating with your children, and you have to become technically savvy. I don't think it's an excuse these days to say I don't know how this computer works.

The fact that it was a school holiday -- there were children on holidays and there could be more discoveries of dead children. It is really horrifying -- people's lives are nothing.
