I certainly want the kids to be the best they can, but if we don't win all the games, it's not that big of a deal any more. I'm equally concerned now with making sure these girls develop into wonderful members of the community.

It's a great bunch of kids with some great hearts. That's why I'm doing this. They've taught me so much. Sure they give me a few gray hairs and probably some heartburn, but they also keep me young inside.

We've never used the turf in this kind of weather before, but I suppose that's why they got it. Not many teams are practicing today. This will help us out down the road.

I've never been to a game where Iowa's lost, ever. And that's 35 games.

We played tough both games. I was really proud of the girls.

I told our kids (the win) wouldn't be as big as a district game, because district games get you to the state tournament, and it obviously wouldn't be as important as a playoff game, but from where we were, at this point of the season, it was as important a game as we've played in a number of years this early.
