I have always been involved in the Hispanic movement in trying to educate the community about our culture and being accepted into the community. I'm just very excited to share this.

In our culture, we celebrate life rather than mourn death. We look at it as the end of our life cycle. We honor our relatives that have gone before us on that day and we all gather at the cemetery.

I'd like to see more culture in general happening ... Because there's not much out here in the way of cultural venues.

It was a way to get into the Hispanic community because of the culture being so different.

It's not just the bridge. It's a battle for community and culture. I basically told the state highway department that if you come through there with bulldozers, we'll meet you tractor to tractor.

It makes me feel very good about the community I live in that they would actually do something like this.
