I just wasn't really into pitching. I wanted to focus more on hitting. I decided hitting and playing shortstop were more important to me.

I usually try not to hit it over the fence. The first pitch, I look for it to be perfect and I just drive it.

We had been having trouble playing as a team and getting everybody to play good on the same night. We finally pulled it together at the end of the game. Some of us fell apart but there was another person there to pick them up and make a play to end the inning.

I want to build relationships with people, and I'll be repeatedly seeing those kids. It may be tough, but I hope I can handle it.

I definitely have a lot of support from my parents.

I think I'm one of those people that if I wasn't doing something, I'd feel like I was wasting my time.
