We had been having trouble playing as a team and getting everybody to play good on the same night. We finally pulled it together at the end of the game. Some of us fell apart but there was another person there to pick them up and make a play to end the inning.

I usually try not to hit it over the fence. The first pitch, I look for it to be perfect and I just drive it.

I just wasn't really into pitching. I wanted to focus more on hitting. I decided hitting and playing shortstop were more important to me.

We've had field checkers and trouble shooters out all night long, and we've had linemen out in the field. Obviously, our goal is to get power restored as quickly as possible.

We couldn't get a shot when we needed one. We had trouble scoring on the perimeter all night. I guess (finishing) second is better than 30 something. Maybe later on down the road we'll be thankful for finishing second. ... I'm glad for (Miller) though because if I couldn't win it, I'm glad he could.

That last game gave us motivation for the tournament. We wanted to play Ohio State and go at 'em again. Now we do.
