I live alone, and wouldn't go to half the restaurants if I wasn't in this group. So many of these people have such interesting stories to tell.

When I get into bed at night, I hope I don't get into it alone!

We've seen an increase in the number of Eastpointe residents using our facility since theirs closed. In fact, we had six sign up the day after the election.

Because we are federally funded (by Community Development Block Grant funds), we're open to nonresidents. The day after Eastpointe's center closed, we got a few Eastpointe seniors here. They were totally surprised -- a lot of them showed up to their senior center one day and found it padlocked.

I couldn't have attended half the parties that I was supposed to have been to according to the newspapers. It bothers me.

It's really an interesting group. They're very athletic. They played so well in the second half. You know, they're scary to play against. If these guys get hot and you're in the other dugout, you don't want to play these guys, and I hope to continue that.
