I played the first year (the 1966 season) this place opened. The way I look at it, I outlived this building.

I was just looking to get a first down and things opened up. The linebackers kind of ran over the top and from there, there was nothing but green grass.

We played them real early in the season, but we know they are a scrappy team. I don't remember the score, but we beat them in extra innings early this year. We were able to get a few early runs and get some things going.

Last year, we played well in the first year in the system,

That took its toll toward the end of the season. This year we have a lot more guys to give us depth. If we give these guys experience early on, they'll be there for us later.

We'd like Kyle to put together a full season like he did the first half of last season.
