I think our fans have a lot to do with it. We have our bench area on the east side over there to identify with the student body. I'm sure the travel aspect is a little bit of an issue.

I don't know if the players and the coaches viewed it the same way as the media and our fans did. It's just one of 16. Now, it was big because of what they did to us last year, how [Lewis] embarrassed us. And it's a rivalry game. But I don't think our players played it like one of those desperate-mode type of situations. It wasn't an end all, and if we lost there were major changes coming.

I think our fans are enjoying this as much as our players, coaches and cheerleaders.

There?s a system in here that when the CO gets to a certain level it kicks on the fans.

I'm glad they got it done. I'm happy for the players; I'm happy for the fans, even the ones who weren't around at the time.

The Internet lays the groundwork. It creates a much closer relationship between bands and fans. You need that because the days when people walked into a shop and took a £15 punt on an album are gone.
