I think the citizens felt they wanted more input on city decisions. I think they're uniformly concerned about development that hasn't been planned or as thoughtful as it could be.

Being involved is the first good step toward running for the city council.

People seem really excited and supportive. It shows me a really good, strong grass-roots effort.

We knew we were going to do it as soon as we returned. They stopped the game in Upper Lake to acknowledge it and we wanted to do it when we got here.

I hope that my achievements in life shall be these - that I will have fought for what was right and fair, that I will have risked for that which mattered, and that I will have given help to those who were in need, that I will have left the earth a better place for what I've done and who I've been.
