I went to a movie called 'Destination Moon,' and that was the beginning for me. I always wanted to go to the moon. It was a whole new frontier, because (being an astronaut) is what I wanted to be.

[Moon] came out all juiced up at the beginning. We got through that.

They want to know what it's like. They want to know how do you go to the bathroom, take a shower, what it feels like (in space) and to come back. ... They ask what do I need to do to be able do something like that. My recommendation to anybody that wants to be successful is to never give up. Let it be OK to fail, and learn from it and move on from that.

These kids here at Jones Cove are just about the right age to go to Mars. Maybe the first person on Mars is sitting here today in Jones Cove.
