If we know what's happening, it's going to help leaders... make better decisions.

We just kept waiting for some big shoe to drop where 100 students weren't able to go someplace or something like that. It ended up we still didn't meet all the community needs.

We have a lot of connections with community agencies. We place volunteers in about 140 different agencies.

Those guys have really stepped up. We put a lot of pressure on them to be great leaders, and for the most part, they have done just that.

What we were hoping for was to help the delegates better define who they're going to be as leaders. We all got something from Coleen Rowley, whether we personally agreed with (what she said) or not.

Through the LAYLC, we like to say that are investing in tomorrow's leaders today. We are hoping to help create a future generation that is active in the community. We want these students to know that their voice matters, that the issues that concern them concern us all.
