Open source software does not today respect the intellectual property rights of any intellectual property holder. Some day, for all countries that are entering WTO, somebody will come and look for money to pay for the patent rights for that intellectual property.

From a client perspective, I really think the work Microsoft's doing with Surface, with HoloLens, with Xbox, that stuff's absolutely essential to the company's future. Because innovation in the future will either be from the cloud out to all devices, or from devices as supported by software in the cloud.

We totally failed on the software applications for it. It went to the stores and everything that sold as the hottest newest thing came back. It didn't work. It wouldn't even turn on anymore.
