I'm not trying to play the race card. I think it's just the lack of understanding between the different cultures. It's just ignorance.

That was tough. Especially with first-year (players) and you're trying to explain a double play and you're not on a field.

The power play is always a weekend by weekend thing. We have a good understanding of what we are trying to accomplish, and it's just a matter of everything clicking.

North Branford was coming off a two-overtime win, so we knew they were going to play well down the stretch. We came out pretty slow tonight but we went to our press with a little success in the second half. Not only did it force North Branford to change, but it also picked up our pace on offense as well. It got us into the game.

It was a true dogfight. They kept trying to break us, but the kids continued to fight all the way through.

As soon as we started, the complaints came.
