I'm really happy that we're 4-4. The kids are catching on to the system. With every game, they are gaining maturity and confidence at the varsity level.

We had played so poorly the night before in a loss to St. Thomas Aquinas. Against Ravenna, we tried to concentrate on the little things, like boxing out and following shots. We were more relaxed, and we applied all of those things against Ravenna.

I bet Mafia kids get bummed when they find out the tooth fairy doesn't take other people's teeth. Or when they find out there's no horse-head fairy at all.

The match-ups were not in our favor. It seemed their best kids were on our best kids.

We fought hard all game. Our kids didn't give up. Poughkeepsie is a great team. I'm just glad our kids were able to hang in there for the win.

I never got along with my dad. Kids used to come up to me and say, "My dad can beat up your dad." I'd say, "Yeah? When?"
