In the Southwest, (Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler and Tempe included) we were very impressed overall with the level of growth in cycling and the level of enthusiasm for it in the communities.

Cycling has been neglected by local governments and as a result, the general populous has not been as aware of the cycling community as it should be. That's ultimately the beef (we have with Houston).

There is a culture of cycling ? there are bike clubs, there's the messenger culture and there are long-standing community activities centered around cycling.

We ranked Phoenix as Phoenix proper but it is an indication that the metro area is shining and is a great destination for cyclists.

Hard times persist in the PC market, but vendors are working diligently to stimulate growth and the outlook has started to improve in the United States and Europe.

They keep inventory low. They have very responsive systems, and they have maintained their growth momentum for a long time. In fact, over this whole downturn, they've maintained positive unit growth.
