We ranked Phoenix as Phoenix proper but it is an indication that the metro area is shining and is a great destination for cyclists.

Greenfield is currently ranked 10th in the area, but we made them look like state champs. With a few exceptions, we just did not execute well and continued to violate some of the basic rules of wresting.

Cycling has been neglected by local governments and as a result, the general populous has not been as aware of the cycling community as it should be. That's ultimately the beef (we have with Houston).

San Francisco is a classic bike town, and it is beloved by everybody. In our online reader poll, more readers chose San Francisco than any other city but Portland. There is a culture of cycling ? there are bike clubs, there's the messenger culture and there are long-standing community activities centered around cycling.

In the Southwest, (Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler and Tempe included) we were very impressed overall with the level of growth in cycling and the level of enthusiasm for it in the communities.
