It is not an honoring event. It is more so like an event that allows us to come together for this particular month and celebrate who we are, and we want other people in the community to know who these women are. They should be recognized as pillars in this community.

We were discussing Coretta Scott King [who died in January] and how we as individuals should be picking up the torch, and also how we should recognize people's contributions while they're here. These are people who are continuing to serve the community and keeping the dream alive.

I think these women are up and coming. They have arrived and are still arriving, and they've put themselves in a position to give back to the community.

There's many of us. It just depends on the game.

Weve had some moral victories this season. Weve had one-goal losses against teams that did a number on us last year.

Fullback Heather Powers had a great defensive game. She was outstanding getting the ball in for us.
