It used to be a county hospital, but it's no county hospital anymore.

There's no need to go to the hospital anymore. It is much safer than surgical procedures. They don't feel anything.

Remember the candy stripers? Well, we don't call them that anymore. They're junior volunteers.

About 98 percent of villagers first come to me when they get sick. They only go to a county hospital when I can't cure their illness.

When we first got there, we were the only hospital in a six-county area. They just came walking in.
