It was fabulous. You know the animosity between the Cub fans and Sox fans? Well, even the Cubs side of town went crazy when we won [the pennant]. It wasn't like the Cubs fans were mad at us. The whole city united.

I played for the Cubs [from 1951 to '58], and we never made it. Then I joined the White Sox, and lo and behold, the good Lord was with me. I got to the World Series.

You're going from Dallas to Sioux City (Iowa) or Dallas to Casper (Wyoming) or Dallas to Albuquerque (New Mexico), where capacity is not an issue. There are more airplanes in the system, but they are not going hub to hub, where the real congestion exists.
