It's a different approach nowadays. That's why it's nice to see players like David Wright come into the system. He has that approach.

[Carlos] Delgado's the guy you're most concerned about. It's nice to have a few lefties in case you need to use them.

He had a nice game. I noticed he had more pep in his step.

You go through the first loop and you make a few adjustments so it's accommodating in some ways to players and getting their work in. Last year I wanted to set the tone with a hard workout and get guys' attention, and get guys working and to understand that's what we're here for.

It's nice to finish strong and end the season on a good note. It's nicer to be above .500 than below it. But .500 is mediocre. We want to be better than that.

Sometimes you come in with a guy who is unorthodox in a delivery and he'll get you an out. Bring somebody in with a different look and come in with a pitch you don't see everyday.
