It's a good tax dollar to have.

RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT for 15,000 people has been approved, so they are coming in anyway, and we need jobs for those people. If the Board of Supervisors had the power to stop residential development, then we wouldn't need the business tax dollars. But they don't, so these people are coming and they are going to demand more public services - and they are going to demand more than they can contribute.

The business community is helping to off-set the cost of public services to residents.

You can overload the system. When you take too much acetaminophen, we think it's an all-or-none phenomenon. Either it's going to wipe out your liver and you have a chance of being dead within a week or two, or nothing is going to happen.

Fortunately, if it's recognized early enough, there is an antidote.

When it all adds up together, you can really have a disaster.
