It's unusual to see freezing weather in March.

When it's windy, that area gets high winds mainly because of the terrain. The winds get pulled through that valley, which allows them to pick up and intensify.

By Wednesday night, we're thinking about one to two feet of new snow in the Cascades -- that's a lot for a 24-hour period.

It does happen on occasion.

We're a little bit above normal (for precipitation). We are about 4 inches above normal here and late December really put us over.

There's definitely a storm coming.
