People recognize that the economy is getting stronger and job creation is more in their favor, but the outlook is impaired by oil prices and events abroad. Uncertainty is overwhelming what consumers know to be better economic conditions.

This is great news on the inflation front. It will be very difficult for the economy to generate any sustained rise in core inflation with unit labor costs showing such a high degree of restraint.

Clearly the far more important factor for tech is the relative strength of the economy. It trumps the dollar situation. But if the dollar improves, it does take the bloom off the rose for some of the sales numbers that companies have reported.
